Legion Membership Requirements

To be eligible for membership, a person must be a veteran of a branch of the U.S. Armed Forces and have served during a period of war as defined by the Congress of the United States of America. Eligibility dates are:

Membership Application

Once you have confirmed your eligibility with the above information, go to the membership form (fill in PDF), print it, fill it out, and together with your annual dues payment of $31 or Life Membership fee and mail it to: Frank Griggs Post 370, P. O. Box 234, Llano, Texas 78643.

Note: To obtain military records of veterans (DD214/discharge papers), please select the "Veteran's Service Record Information" link below.

Auxiliary Membership Requirements

Eligibility:    

• A woman who is eligible for membership in The American Legion is also eligible to join the American Legion Auxiliary.
• The mother, wife, daughter, sister, grand-daughter, great-grand-daughter, or grandmother of members of The American Legion, and deceased veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces during the listed war eras.
• Step relatives are also eligible.
